We're home, we're clean, we're slowly getting through the washing in between snuggles on the sofa and looking back at photos, reliving a wonderful five days and nights at one of the greatest music festivals in the world.
We didn't see many bands this year, didn't stay up to watch the sunrise, I still couldn't drink as I'm breastfeeding, I didn't have my usual relaxing 'me time' in the healing fields and I didn't even hoop that much. Yet somehow it was one of the best years ever. It wasn't about me, this one was for Oak. So here are his top Glasto moments....

Turns out Tom was right; the best way to transport Oak around the site was in a wheelbarrow! We strapped his car seat into the wheelbarrow, hung up a few fairy lights and tucked him up warm and safe so that he could cruise around wi th us in the evening, watching the world go by and snoozing comfortably whenever he needed.
2. Hanging out in the Green Kids Area.
Closer to our camp than the main Kidz Field and much more peaceful, this was a safe haven that we could escape to. The under 5's area had shaded tipis, a sandpit and even mini compost toilets.

3. Dancing around the Acoustic field to the Bootleg Beatles.
Plenty of space to listen to the music and dance around without getting into a huge crowd. Lots of pretty flags to look at too!

4. Listening to the didgeridoo.
Our favourite hippy, Fergus, entertained Oak in the tipi field with his didgeridoo playing. He also loved listening to the drum circle that happened daily and joined in with his maraca.

5. All the people....especially the ladies!
Everywhere we went Oak was getting smiles from people in the crowd and he was full of smiles and giggles back. He especially loved the sparkly ladies!

6. The Circus fields.
With so many weird and wonderful acts to look at, it was total sensory over load. He loved sitting in the workshop tent watching people play and even had a go at spinning a plate.

7. Sleeping in the tipi.
Oak loved the big open space inside the tipi and it was a great place to cool down in on a hot day. We ended up putting a small tent up inside of our tipi so that Oak had a warm, dark space to sleep in. It worked really well.

8. Sitting in the rain under the tree at the Pyramid Stage.
We didn't spend a lot of time at the main stages, but one afternoon we met up with Auntie Molly and Grampy under the tree....just before the heavens opened! It was the only rain we really got caught in, but Oak found it all hilarious.

9. The Kidz Field.
What a crazy, colourful, creative wonderland! There was so much to see and do in one field we could have easily spent everyday here. Oak played in a ball pit, watched a puppet show and even made his own Glastonbury flag with his footprint on it.

10. Lots of Daddy time!

One final thought...
Although not a moment that Oak was over enthusiastic about at the time, as I dragged him out of a warm bed to go and stand around in the rain for an hour, but one that I hope he will look back on with some significance. We went to watch His Holiness the Dalai Lama make his speech in the King's Meadow and it was most definitely my most treasured Glastonbury moment this year . Standing within the stone circle on a rainy Sunday morning with my husband and our son, listening to the Dalai Lama talk of happiness, hope and the importance of family. It really struck a chord when he spoke of the 21st century generation and how the children of today can be the change in making a happier and more peaceful world.

“I don’t expect to see real change in my lifetime, but if you young people, people who belong to the 21st century start to make efforts now, the later parts of the century could see a happier more peaceful world.''
